Es muy bonito en primavera y verano, y en otoño, algunos arboles dan frutos. Hay mucho espacio, ya que son sólo tres personas.   La puerta principal conduce directamente a la sala de estar. Un enorme ventanal da al jardín. Delante de él están colocados unos sofás, sillas y mesillas. Entre las dos ventanas del fondo hay un piano. Una fila de plantas bastante altas separa el comedor de la sala de estar. La cocina está a la derecha. Las tres zonas están muy bien distribuídas y se distinguen claramente.   Los dormitorios están en la primera planta. Justo arriba del comedor está la habitación de Felipe, con el cuarto de baño. El también tiene un pequeño estudio, con estantes llenos de libros. Entre el dormitorio de Felipe y el de sus padres está la biblioteca de la familia. Allí se guardan todavía mayor cantidad de libros.   El padre de Felipe es empresario y su madre, escritora. Los dos siempre están muy ocupados. Se acuestan tarde y se levantan todavía más tarde. Salen con frecuencia, viajan a todas partes y reciben muchas visitas. En fin, tienen una vida social muy intensa. Felipe los ve muy poco. [/color][/size][/font]

Just over the dining room is Philippe's room, with a bathroom. It also has a small study, with bookcases full of books. A family library is between Philippe's room and that of his parents. The major quantity of books are kept over there.   The father of Philippe is an enterpriser and his mother, a writer. The two are always very busy. They go to bed late and they get up even later. They go out frequently, travel to all places and receive many visits. In a word, they have a very intense social life. Philippe see them very few. [/font][/color][/size]

Cogió un taxi para llegar cuanto antes a la oficina de personal. Se apeó, corrió hacia el edificio, entró, se metió en el ascensor y subió al décimo piso. Se detuvo delante de la oficina. Al tocar el timbre, oyó una voz: -¡;Ppase!  Era el jefe. El señor saludó a la chica y le indicó un asiento. Ella se sentó y esperó. El hombre, después de mirarla un rato, comenzó a hacerle preguntas. Por último le ordenó: -Vuelva usted mañana a la misma hora para un examen por escrito.  –Muchas gracias y hasta mañana.—dijo Elena.   Ya en la calle, corrió hacia el metro. El tren la dejó en las afueras de la ciudad. Entró en una casa. Estos días trabaja ahí como asistenta de las diez de la mañana a las cinco de la tarde.   Cuando por fin lo terminó todo, tuvo que regresar a toda carrera al centro de la ciudad para asistir a sus clases nocturnas de inglés y de francés. Es buena alumna y saca excelentes notas.[/color][/size][/font]

Yo, junto con una veintena del primer y segundo curso también quise ir a asistir. Como tengo un vocabulario todavía muy limitado, encontré muchas dificultades y confundí las palabras. Apenas entendí las explicaciones, pero preferí ir. Por lo menos fue un buen ejercicio para el oído.   Claro, Los compañeros de cursos superiores pudieron comprender mucho más que nosotros. Algunos incluso discutieron con los profesores extranjeros. Y eso les gustó mucho. Empezaron a preguntar más en cada una de las conferencias. Fue muy interesante verlos discutir. No pude entender muchas cosas, pero me pareció un buen ejercicio que nos convenía.   Un estudiente del cuarto curso me dijo: “¿Sabes? Son muy importantes esas conferencias, porque nos ayudan a comprender mejor la cultura hispánica. Deseo poder ir algún día a un país hispanohablantes a conocer más cosas.” “Yo también tengo ganas de hacerlo.” Le contesté.[/color][/size][/font]
[size=3][color=#000000][font=Times New Roman]On March 6 a group of Spanish speaking professors arrived at the faculty to give us conferences on different themes. Anteayer Luis y Ana tenían que reunirse con algunos amigos. Sacaron el coche del garaje y se pusieron en camino. A los pocos metros se produjo un terrible atasco. Toda la calle estaba llena de coches, pero ninguno avanzaba. La espera duró un cuarto de hora. Cuando otra vez se pusieron en camino, Luis y Ana decidieron aparcar el coche en alguna parte y tomar el metro. Bajaron al túnel y esta vez tuvieron suerte. Se acercaron al andén justo cuando llegó un tren. Viajaron así una o dos paradas. De repente les avisaron que había una avería y el tren no podía seguir adelante. Fue preciso bajar. Los dos salieron del metro junto con los demás pasajeros. Anduvieron hasta una parada de autobuses. Había mucha cola, porque el problema de tráfico era igual en todas partes. Por fin pudieron subir a un autobús, pero tuvieron que viajar de pie. Se acercaron a un restaurante y entraron.
Cuando se saludaban y se abrazaban, los recién llegados se excusaron de su retraso.

The day before yesterday Luis and Ana had to reunite with some friends. They got the car out of the garage and they set out on road. After several meters, a terrible traffic jam took place. All the street was full of cars, but no one moved forward. The waiting lasted for a quarter of an hour. When they were put on road again, Luis and Ana decided to park the car in somewhere and take the metro. They went down to the tunnel and this time they were lucky. They got near to the platform just when the train arrived. They traveled like that one or two stops. Suddenly they were informed that there was a breakdown and the train could not go on further. They were to get off necessarily. The two got out of the train together with the rest of the passengers. They walked up to a bus-stop. There was a long queue, because the traffic problem was equal in all places. At last they could get on a bus, they had to travel on foot. They got near to a restaurant and entered.
When they saluted and hugged each other, the recent arrived excused themselves for their delay.
2.
–Oye, ¿por qué no viniste a la fiesta de anteayer?
-No pude porque hubo muchos problemas de tráfico.
-¿Fueron tantos los problemas?
-¿Escucha, sabes que el pueblo donde vivo se queda muy lejos? –Pero una buena autopista lo conecta con la ciudad.¿No es cierto?
-¿Sabes lo que ocuttió? Precisamente en ella se produjo un terrible accidente. La situación fue desesperante.
-¿Hubo muchos muertos y heridos?
-Por supuesto. Los policías tardaron mucho mucho en hacer llegar ambulancias.
–Bueno, pero cuando sacaron a todos los heridos y muertos,¿no pudiste volver a conducir?
-¡Que va! Me llevaron de testigo a la comisaría.

Todos los días mis abuelos se levantaban con el sol, mucho más temprano que yo. Trabajaban un rato en el huerto. Luego se aseaban en el patio junto a una fuente. Mientras mi abuela preparaba nuestro sencillo desayuno, mi abuelo venía a mi cuarto a despertarme. Me miraba vestir y lavar sin dejar de hacer lentamente. Siempre tenía un cuento que contar o un chiste que decir. Después de desayunar, él iba a la otra orilla del río donde tenía una parcela de trigal. Mi abuela me acompañaba al colegio del pueblo. Teníamos que atravesar una pequeña plaza. Sólo estudiaba por la mañana. Después del almuerzo, yo salío ir a jugar con mis amigos. O nadábamos en el río, o corríamos por el campo, o jugábamos en el bosque. Nos divertíamos mocho. Al atardecer regresábamos al pueblo.
En casa, nos acostábamos muy temprano, porque teníamos que madrugar al día seguiente. La vida en el campo era muy tranquila. A mí me gustaba. Mis padres estaban tan ocupados que apenas venían a verme. Pero cada vez que me veían, decían que yo estaba saludable y fuerte.

-¿Dónde te alojaste? Según dicen, es muy difícil encontrar alojamiento en Madrid.
–Es verdad. Después de mucho trabajo, pude alojarme en un colegio mayor. Es una especie de casa de estudientes. Son mucho más baratos que hoteles u hostales, pero un poco más caro que un piso. Sabes que puedes compartir un piso con otras personas y el alquiler se reparte entre todos. Además, en un piso tú puedes cocinar, pero eso no se permite en el colegio mayor. Lo que me gustaba de aquel colegio mayor era su ambiente internacional, pues ahí se alojaban jóvenes de casi todas las razas: blancos, negros, mestizos, mulatos, asiáticos.
-¡Muy intersante! Oye, dime: el horario del colegio mayor debía ser bastante rígido, ¿verdad?
-Por supuesto. Por ejemplo, el desayuno se servía entre las siete y media y las nueve. Si no querías perderlo, tenías que levantarte antes de esa hora. Comíamos a partir de las dos y cenábamos entre las nueve y las diez de la noche. No podíamos regresar muy tarde, porque el colegio mayor se cerraba a la una de la medianoche. [/color][/font]

[/color][color=#000000]Era mi primer fin de semana en España. Como no tenía nada que hacer decidí dar una vuelta por Madrid, ciudad todavía desconociada para mí. Pero sabía que había mucho que ver: museos, parques, escultura, edificios de estilo arquitectónico gótico, barroco, neo-clásico... Salí del colegio mayor donde estaba alojado y anduve al azar. Crucé un parque, me metí en el primer metro que encontré y llegué a la Plaza de España. Hacía buen tiempo. Mucha gente paseaba por allí. Me acerqué al monumento erigido en memoria de Cervantes. Vi su busto acompañado de don Quijote y Sanche Panza. Las estatuas parecían de bronce. Un joven que pasaba por mi lado tenía la inmortal obra en la mano y me la mostró. Luego me señaló un puesto de libros que estava en la acera. Quería decirme que ahí podía conseguir el libro. Iba caminando hacia el puesto cuando oí que alguien me llamaba. Volví la cabeza y me asombré mucho. ¡Era Antonio!
-¿PPaseando solo?-me dijo.
-¿Tú también? ¿PPor qué no vamos juntos al Museo del Prado?
-¡Buena idea! Dicen que hay una exposición especial de Coya.

But I knew that there was much to see: museums, parks, sculptures, buildings with architectural style Gothic Barroco, new-classical... I went out of the student apartment where I was lodged and I was walking randomly. I crossed a park, I got on the first metro which met and arrived at the Plaza of Spain. It was a fine day. Many people were strolling there. I approached to the monument erected on memory of Cervantes. I saw his bust accompanied by Don Quijote and Sanche Panza. The statues seemed of bronze. A young man who was passing by my side took the immortal work in the hand and showed it to me. Then he told me a book stall which was nearby. He wanted to tell me that over there one could obtain the book. I went to the stall walking when I heard that someone was calling me. I turned around my head and I was much surprised. “it was Antonio!” “walking lonely?” he said to me. “You too? Why we do not go to the Museum of Prado together?” “Good idea! It is said that there is a special exposition of Coya. Said and done. As it was weekend, there was less traffic. The bus was marching faster than usual and it did not last much time to set us just in front of the Prado. We saw that there were many visitors. The queue was very long. We had to wait for a half hour before entering the Museum. Then I knew that with student card we had the entrance freely.[/font][/color]

No podía resistir ni pedir clemencia, pues el lobo tenía la fama de ser muy cruel. Pero como el apuro agudiza el ingenio, tras mover un rato las orejas, se le ocurrió fingirse cojo. Se aproximó el lobo y le preguntó por qué cojeaba. Respondió el asno:
-Hace algunos días, al saltar una cerca, se me clavó una espina en el casco. Ahora lo tengo tan hinchado que apenas puedo caminar. Sufro mucho.
-¿Y eso qué me importa? –dijo el lobo, mostrándole los dientes y las garras. –Si te voy a devorar, me da lo mismo con espina o sin ella.
–No es igual, porque si no me arrancas la espina antes, se te puede clavar en la boca. Te lo aseguro.
–Tienes razón. Vamos a sacar esa espinita antes de almorzar. Pero levanta la pata, por favor.
Mientras el lobo examinaba atentamente el pie del asno, recibió una feroz coz que le arrancó todos los dientes. El lobo maltratado, dijo:
-¡Bien me lo merezco! Mi padre sólo me enseñó el oficio de carnicero y ahora quiero meterme de médico.[/color][/font]

The wolf approached and asked why he was laming. The ass answered: -Several days ago, when jumping over a fence, a thorn thrust in my hoof. Now I have got it so swollen that I can hardly walk. –And that has anything to do with me? Said the wolf, showing him the teeth and paws. –If I am going to devour you, it is the same to me with the thorn or without it.
–It is not equal, because if you do not pull out the thorn of me first, you can have it thrust in your mouth. I assure you that.
–You are right. Lets pull out this small thorn before lunch. But raise the hoof please.
While the wolf was examining the hoof of the ass attentively, he received a fierce kick which pulled out all his teeth. The wolf abused said: -I deserved it well! My father only taught the profession of butcher and now I want to meddle in medicine.[/color][/size]

如果英语还没有达到普通的交流水平,就不要急着学第二外语,实在要学,也就把语音练好,看看电影听听歌什么的,打好基础.
学外语,千万不要相信培训班和学校,因为这些都是为了赚你的钱的.只有靠自己,靠同样喜欢外语的朋友,靠真正有水平热爱外语推广的教师.
判断一个外语教师的水准的方法.以英语教师为例吧.首先看口音,如果该教师的口音纯正,口语流利就说明他的基础还可以.再看他的第二外语学的好不好,到了交流的水平没有,如果有,他就有很多经验可供你参考的,因为一个人用几年时间学好英语没有什么了不起,但掌握几门语言就一定在方法上有独到之处.最后看他的耐性,弄点难题考考他,指出他的错误之处,看他如何反应.

其实不是你学不学得会的问题,问题在于你是怎么学的.卷不来的音应该是颤音r吧,实际上根据外国人学西班牙语的经验,听多了听懂了,自然就会发音了.语言是全人类的天赋,100人里面有99人适合学习任何语言,放弃了西语太可惜了. 资料我有很多,正在跟外语学院语音管理室联系,想把有关西语影视听力资料放在外院二楼的公外学生自习室上共享.

对一个成年人来说,抱着学的态度,想掌握一门外语几乎是不可能的,起码口语是无法掌握的,不信你就去听一听那些英语专业的老教授们的broken English吧.抱着玩的态度,在外语的环境中(比如电影,连续剧,老外的party等)里去欣赏去娱乐,适当看看书,时间长了,习惯了,听得懂了,就会说了.
